Issue:
When users are changing password they encounter a error after password is changed.
The issue is for all users.
Analysis:
Logs are in MACHINE NAME-DATE[YYYYMMDD]-TIME[HHMM].log format under %windir%\temp and %temp% for installation or patching issues.
Resolution attempt# 1:
We resolved the issue by clicking on Fix Me in Excel client applications, verified the behavior in all Office 365 applications.
Also, we restart the machine and verified the issue got resolved.
The issue occur when ADAL, ADAL+WAM or WAM is unable to communicate with the Exchange Server to complete the sign in process hence, users gets prompt to sign in to the account to complete the process.
When users reset the password for Office 365 accounts, then the ADAL, ADAL+WAM or WAM communicate to Exchange Server.
Resolution attempt# 2:
Open Regedit
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity
Create REG_DWORD 32 BIt with Name as "EnableADAL" with value "0"
Restart the machine and login to office application.
