Overview

This topic describes the steps to create a new secret for a given namespace. There are 2 types of secrets that can be created and managed via HyperCloud™ Platform (HCP). This topic covers:

• Create Secret
  • Create Secrete Type - Opaque
  • Create Secret Type - Kubernetes.io/Tls
• View Secret

 

Prerequisites: Before you begin, ensure that:

• Kubernetes Cluster is pre-deployed and the status is running

• You are entitled to the Kubernetes Cluster

• At least one namespace is available.

Create Secret

You can create two Secret Types:

• Opaque 

• Secret#Kubernetes.io/Tls

Create Secrete Type - Opaque

To create Secret Type - Opaque:

1. Select Secret Type - Opaque.

2. Click on Actions.

3. Click on Create Secret.

4. Select Namespace and Opaque.

Create Secret Type - Kubernetes.io/Tls

To create Secret Type - Kubernetes.io/Tls:

1. Click Secret Type - Kubernetes.io/Tls.

2. Click on Actions.

3. Click on Create Secret.

4. Select Namespace and Kubernetes.io/Tls. 

 

View Secret

You can view all the secrets in your dev namespace.
